things you ought to know about Samento

site ONLY are welcomed. 1. Samento is a South
American herb, but it is processed in the
United States.
2. Samento Liquid Extract
is in wider use than Samento Capsules
with some herb companies reporting a
sales difference of 1,000 bottles to one
over the past seven years.
3. Samento is in wide use
by people who are sick with chronic
long-lasting health problems.
4. Samento also is in wide
use by people who are perfectly healthy
and want to stay that way.
5. Samento is used alone by
large numbers of people.
6. Samento is used in
conjunction with other herbs and
supplments, too.
7. Samento is often used
with other South American rain forest
herbs such as Cumanda, Quina and
Banderol.
8. Samento and Cumanda
often are used with yet another South
American botanical, a detoxifying herb
called Burbur (trademarked) or
"desmodium ascendens"
generically.
9. Many herbs are
"anti-microbials" - meaning
they are known to kill bacteria. Samento
is known as an especially potent
anti-microbial. Cumanda also is an
anti-microbial. An herb called Takuna is
another - and Banderol is another.
10. A symptom of many
physical health issues is a deficiency of
magnesium, which is considered to be an
excellent choice of supplements for
everyone, including people who use Samento.
11. People who do not use Samento often prefer
instead a special extracted form of Cat's
Claw containing 3% alkaloids, which are
active ingredients. There is some
controversy over which form of Cat's Claw
works best. Some say Samento. Others say
Cat's Claw 3% guaranteed potency extract
is better.
12. Samento Liquid Extract
sometimes has an "oily" or
"greasy" look to it - and users
report seeing "flecks" of herb
floating in it. This is normal.
13. When using Samento for the first
time, a "healing crisis" in
which you feel a little worse may occur,
although in the experience of many
professionals who deal with it on a daily
basis, the threat of this so-called
"Herxheimer reaction" is
overblown.
14. Some people do have difficulty
starting Samento, especially,
according to professionals who know, the
elderly and desperately debilitated. They
generally will start on 1 to 3 drops per
day and increase the dosage slightly each
day thereafter until they have reached
the recommended 15- to 30-drops per day
dosage of Samento found on the bottle.
16. Samento is well
tolerated by the great majority of users.
17. Seldom are allergic
reactions or side-effects noted with
Cat's Claw products, of which Samento is one.
18. Cat's Claw contains
TWO "arrays" of alkaloids
(active ingredients): Tetracyclic
Alkaloids (TOAs) and Pentacyclic
Alkaloids (POAs). Samento contains ONE
array - the POAs only.
19. Some experts believe Samento is a stronger
anti-microbial (bacteria killing) herb
than Cat's Claw because the TOAs are
missing. Others disagree.
20. Some people use Cat's
Claw 3% Extract in conjunction with Samento to get both POA
and TOA alkaloids PLUS an the additional
POAs found in Samento. This regimen is
becoming increasingly popular based on
word-of-mouth discussions, the
recommendations of health professionals
and Internet bulletin boards and support
groups.
21. Approximately half of
people who use Samento finish in three
months, major retailers who track usage
report.
22. Approximately a third
of people who use Samento finish in six to
nine months, major retailers who track
usage report.
23. About one in 10 people
in chronic situations will use Samento - or Samento and
other herbs- for longer than one year.
24. Fit and healthy people
who use Samento generally take
just 1 to 10 drops per day.
25. People who are not
well who use Samento generally take
15 drops per day.
26. Doubling the dose of Samento to 30 drops per
day is not uncommon.
27. Some people -
especially those who are under the care
of an MD - will take bigger doses of 15
drops three times a day.
28. The largest sustained
dose of Samento recommended by
some doctors is 20 drops three times per
day.
29. Most people take 15
drops of Samento a day.
30. Seven out of 10 people
who use Samento like it, major
retailers report.
31. People who are unwell
who use Samento say "self
nurturing" helps them feel better.
32. "Self
nurturing" with Samento may include
taking the herb in divided doses through
the day. Some health professionals - and
healers generally - say taking a few
moments out of a busy to day to prepare
the herb and take it is "good
medicine" in a psychological and
emotional sense.
33. Taking Samento morning,
afternoon and evening is common.
34. And yet, there is
disagreement about dividing doses of Samento. Some experts
recommend it. Other experts recommend
taking Samento in a single
dose.
35. Cat's Claw products
are known to remain in tissue for up to
six weeks after a person stops taking
them. That means Cat's Claw products like
Samento aren't water
soluble - and they provide their benefits
as food supplements around the clock,
unlike B vitamins and, say, glucosamine
sulfate, which must be taken in divided
dosages to maintain a constant blood
level.
36. Some people insist on
taking Samento in one ounce of
water. Other people squirt Samento directly in
their months. Others take Samento in
coffee, tea or milk. Even experts
disagree on the "right way" to
take Samento, which suggests that it
doesn't matter how you take it. The
manufacturer suggests squirting Samento
in one ounce of water, waiting one
minute, and then drinking it.
38. Interestingly, people
who take Samento over a period of
time report many benefits that by their
reckoning have made their lives better.
39. Other strategies that
have helped people make the most of their
Samento include body
brushing to remove dead skin, enabling
the flesh to function as nature intended
- as a "third kidney" to flush
harmful bacteria and toxins from the
body.
40. Mainline MDs -
orthodox doctors - appear to be steering
patients to Samento , Cumanda and other herbal
supplements at an increasing rate. Two
major retailers report that one third of
their customers for Samento report that they
have been referred by their doctor after
long-term use of antibiotics.
41. Some people don't like
to taste herbs and with Samento, the taste is
slight, indeed - because doses of up to
15 drops are so small there's not much to
taste.
42. Cat's Claw
products like Samento are sustainable
Amazon rain forest herbs. To harvest
them, workers strip the bark off the
vines,which doesn't kill them. A few
months later, the bark has grown back ...
and can be harvested again.
